Leadership is a responsibility, not a title. And what better time than the start of the year to reflect on your own leadership habits? Daily challenges, from meetings to operational firefighting, often cloud our view of what matters.

A look at many leaders’ packed calendars shows that being busy does not automatically mean doing the right things. But 2025 is the perfect opportunity to reset your focus — for yourself, your team and your organisation. Here are five leadership resolutions that can make you more effective this year:

1️⃣ Develop a vision and strategic direction: Make it your goal to create a clear vision for your team — it is the foundation for long-term success.

2️⃣ Shape organisation and culture: Make 2025 the year in which you encourage structures and a culture that strengthen innovation, collaboration and trust.

3️⃣ Attract and develop talent: Invest in people. Develop their strengths and ensure they can put them to work in the right places.

4️⃣ Make decisions and shape change: Decide courageously and create stability while navigating change.

5️⃣ Encourage innovation and sustainability: Use this year to prioritise creative thinking and sustainable action — safeguarding your company’s future.

My invitation to you: Which of these resolutions will you pursue in 2025? And how will you ensure they do not disappear in the daily rush? Share your thoughts in the comments!

🚀 I wish you all a happy New Year and every success in 2025. Here’s to a year full of focus, impact and inspiration — see you soon! 🎉
