Every question has a power that does not lie in its answer
“The person who asks leads” is old wisdom! Yet I repeatedly encounter #Leaders who transmit more than they receive. I also know many excellent leaders who understand that a few truly good questions can send people into corners of their minds they have rarely or never visited. Sometimes they find memories, experiences and new connections in those corners.
But beware: the insight this triggers can lead to lasting #Change and #Innovation.
The late Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Holocaust survivor Elie Wiesel once said: “Every question has a #Power that does not lie in its answer.”
Power, then, belongs to those who ask good questions appropriate to the situation, rather than those with grand titles on their business cards!
