The truth is on the pitch

“The truth is on the pitch!” Legendary football coach Otto Rehhagel coined this expression. He meant that all the analysis, statistics, talk, commentary and questions from journalists and players away from the pitch do not help win games.

I think this transfers wonderfully to working life: less talking, analysing, presenting and sitting around chatting in #Meetings; simply #TakeAction.

Anyone who wants to #StayInTheGame over the long term needs strong #ImplementationSkills and a great #WillingnessToLearn.

With that in mind: hands up—it’s the weekend!
