We know more and more — yet we still often feel powerless.

We know more and more — yet we still often feel powerless.
Why? Because our awareness is growing faster than our opportunities to act.

The internet, social media and AI have caused our circle of awareness to explode. We learn about crises, innovations and injustices in real time — worldwide, around the clock.
But our circle of action? It mostly remains local, limited by time, resources and influence.

This shift creates pressure.
We see problems over which we have no direct influence.
We experience responsibility — without effectiveness.
And that is exactly what overwhelms many people.

A wise person once said to me:
“You do not have to pick the fleas off every mutt that runs through the village.”
It sounds crude, but it is full of wisdom.

We do not have to react to everything.
We can consciously let some stimuli pass — so that we have energy for what really matters.

How do you deal with this gap between awareness and action?

Our awareness grows faster than our ability to act. How consciously letting things pass frees energy for what we can actually influence.
