Between “everything is fine” and quiet disengagement lies an invisible factor: a lack of trust.

Between “everything is fine” and quiet disengagement lies an invisible factor: a lack of trust.
Many leaders hear in conversations:
“It’s fine.”
“We’ll manage.”
“All good.”
What they do not hear:
What is really bothering people.
What could work better.
Where support is missing.
Not because employees have nothing to say.
But because they do not believe it is safe to say it.
Trust does not come from attractive words on the careers page. It grows in everyday interactions:
How do you deal with mistakes?
Do you raise your voice when things get stressful?
How often do you really ask for honest feedback — and what do you then do with it?
You can build bridges between “everything is fine” and quiet disengagement.
Or you do nothing — and wonder why performance suddenly drops.
