For the first time in 88 years, VW closed a German plant.

OpenAI is planning AI researchers that publish autonomously.

94% of CEOs trust AI more than their fellow executives.

2026: two worlds collide.

The old one is not dying slowly. It is breaking off.

My observation:

Most leaders still treat AI as an IT project — some remain hesitant because of unresolved data protection questions.

But 2026 makes one thing clear: AI is not a tool. AI is the new context.

What that means for you: the old world will not wait until you are ready! Until every concern has been addressed and every question answered.

→ Strategy: your business model must be conceived as AI-native — not AI-augmented.

→ Leadership: AI competence becomes a core capability. It cannot be delegated.

→ Organisation: the question is no longer "Where AI?" — but "Where people? And how do both work together?"

And yet I am confident — why?

→ Our businesses hold a huge treasure trove of data.

→ We must finally start unlocking it.

→ Those who engage consistently with this technology now will not be overtaken — they will help shape what comes next.

That is my invitation for 2026.

What does your AI-first strategy and the resulting AI roadmap for 2026 look like?
