Before buying an AI tool: Clarify what you want it to help you decide.

Most start in the wrong place:

→ Buy a tool

→ Look for a use case

→ Define the goal afterwards

In that order, you burn time. And credibility.

The problem is not the tool.

The problem is the missing target state.

Which means: missing decision logic.

This is exactly what is happening in many companies right now:

→ AI tools are introduced without a clear goal

→ Governance is ‘added’ later

→ Results remain a matter of chance

It does not work that way.

The order is:

1. Target state
2. Decision logic
3. Basic operational readiness
4. Tools

AI without a target state is not progress. It is activity for activity’s sake.

Without a target state, every tool is an experiment.

With a target state, every tool becomes a lever.

The crucial question is not: Which tool do you use?
