Why a sense of adventure matters more than goals and plans

Life is full of opportunities missed and seized. These moments shape our path, often without us noticing directly. To recognise and use them, we need a clear attitude: stay alert, open and curious, and above all, act courageously. The key is not to hesitate but to seize the moment.

This courage and sense of adventure matter more than rigid plans, meticulous goals or sheer hard work. It is about taking risks and embracing the unknown. Often, spontaneous decisions and trust in the moment lead to the greatest successes.

If we honestly look back, the decisive turning points in our lives have rarely resulted from detailed goals and plans. That is precisely why I am not a great believer in rigid career planning. Flexibility and the ability to recognise and seize opportunities are often more important than clinging to a predetermined path. After all, we all know that things turn out differently from what we expect.
