Readiness for change is a muscle. Most organisations have never trained it.

Change and transformation are fundamentally different.

Transformation is when the caterpillar becomes a butterfly — when the business model changes fundamentally. Rare. Risky. Demanding.

Change is something else: the daily, deliberate step that keeps an organisation adaptable.

And this is where the real problem lies:

Many teams want to jump straight into transformation — and cannot. Because they have never trained their change muscle.

Minimum Viable Change is the training.

Start with the smallest conceivable step that delivers real value. Not in six months. Tomorrow.

Three examples from practice:

→ Instead of "We are digitalising the entire production operation" → "Starting Monday, we will track the throughput time at machine 3."

→ Instead of "We need a new leadership model" → "For four weeks, we will test 30-minute stand-ups instead of 90-minute meetings."

→ Instead of "We are rolling out AI across the company" → "Marketing will test an AI tool for customer communication for two weeks."

Small steps deliver fast feedback. Fast feedback creates clarity. Clarity builds trust. Trust enables the next step.

Those who master change may eventually be able to transform for real.
