The most important leadership question in the AI age is not: what can AI do?

It is: what remains for people?

AI does not take responsibility away from us. It makes responsibility more visible.

In my company, 15 specialised AI roles now work together. They research, analyse, structure and produce. At these tasks, they are faster than any team I led during 14 years of line management.

What they cannot do is stand accountable for a decision.

That is why I have defined three things:

1. What does AI decide alone? Routine matters and unambiguous data situations.

2. What does AI prepare, and what does a person decide? Everything with real consequences.

3. What do I personally stand accountable for? Every decision that has an external impact.

The result: four to six hours a week regained. Responsibility remains in the same places as before. It is simply much more visible today.

Those who answer this question shape the future. Those who avoid it administer the past.

Have you already clarified these three questions in your leadership team?
