Between getting annoyed and laughing lies your personal choice.

Both reactions are human. But only one really moves you forward.

Getting annoyed means: I am getting myself worked up.

Not: OTHER PEOPLE are doing it. Not: The circumstances. Me.

That sounds harsh – but that is exactly why it is so powerful.

Because if I am the source, I can also be the trigger for change.

I have often thought: “That annoys me – there’s nothing I can do about it.”

Today I know: Yes, there is. I can choose how I deal with it.

That does not always happen at the push of a button – but it helps create inner distance.

And often, a dash of humour works surprisingly well.

A brief inner dialogue such as: “Well, a premium member of the getting-worked-up club again today?” – sometimes that is enough to change perspective.

Laughing at yourself is a sign of composure, not weakness.

👉 How do you manage to switch gears in heated moments?
