Are you ready to apply for a job with your AI team?
A thought I cannot shake: In the future, applying for a job will no longer just be about who you are. It will be about who you are with your AI team.
Agnes Hefberger, CEO of Microsoft Germany, shared an exciting vision on the “On the Way to New Work” podcast last November: In ten years, applications will not only ask what experience you bring as a person, but also what your team of AI assistants looks like – whether your AI companion, your AI agent staff or even an entire AI ecosystem supporting you.
It reminded me of professional sport: When a coach is hired in the Bundesliga, for example, they never arrive alone. They always bring their coaching staff – a team that has accompanied them for years and that they can rely on. It could be exactly the same in tomorrow’s working world.
Imagine applying for a leadership position – perhaps as managing director of a medium-sized company, department head in a family business or senior manager in a corporation. The question is then: What does your AI team look like? How have you built your AI companion, your AI agent staff or your AI ecosystem? And what capabilities have you developed together? Your AI staff will no longer be just a tool, but a crucial part of your qualifications and market value.
What do you think: What will your personal AI staff look like? And how are you preparing for this future?
