The calendar is full. So is your head. And between all the meetings, to-dos and emails, the question arises: What am I actually doing here?

The calendar is full. So is your head. And between all the meetings, to-dos and emails, the question arises: What am I actually doing here?

This is exactly where a method I learned from Dieter Lange helps me: STOP – LOOK – CHOOSE.

🔺 STOP – Interrupt the autopilot. Say “stop” out loud (often, silently is enough).

🔍 LOOK – Take a step back. What is happening here? What really matters?

🎯 CHOOSE – Decide consciously. What will I continue with now? What will I let go of?

Three simple words – but they create clarity where there was only noise.

I use them:

  • For myself, when my thoughts go round in circles.
  • In the team, when meetings go round in circles.
  • And as a deliberate quarterly time-out to get back on course.

You do not have to be a guru to stop yourself. Just brave enough, for a moment, not to please everyone.

➡️ How do you deal with “everyday madness”?

I look forward to your thoughts and experiences in the comments!
